In our session “Making the most of things: Wind farms and grid optimisation” on 11th May, Paul Gordon, Technical Director, SLR Consulting, delivered a presentation on energy and minerals – a match made in Hades.

Paul Gordon, Technical Director, SLR Consulting

Paul is a Technical Director with SLR Consulting, working primarily in natural resources.

Paul has worked at all stages of the mining spectrum and his experience gives him an in-depth knowledge of the challenges facing the sector. His experience includes EIA for minerals projects, screening guidelines for mineral exploration, environmental and safety inspection for Mozambique and ESG programmes for mineral exploration. Paul has become increasingly involved in the renewables sector and he sees considerable opportunities for the two sectors to work together.

Paul has a BSc in Geology (NUI Galway) and an MSc in Environmental Management (Lancaster University).
