Energy systems integration using hydrogen

In our session “Energy systems integration using hydrogen” on 11th May, David Wickham, Hydrogen Consultant, ERM, delivered a presentation on investing in shared hydrogen transmission infrastructure can unlock deep offshore wind energy.

David has a background in Chemical Engineering, where he specialised in renewable energy system modelling and analysis.

Using his background, David provides techno-economic, policy, and business strategy analysis to clients on hydrogen technologies, as well as leading the techno-economic assessment of the feasibility study for deploying ERM’s Dolphyn technology in the Celtic Sea region. Furthermore, he has a published paper on hydrogen energy systems modelling for the transport sector, looking at cost optimal configurations to decarbonise transport in the UK, including utilising the gas distribution network.
