In the Marine Energy Show Floor Theatre on 12th May, Nicholas Eraut, Project Manager, Energy Systems Catapult, delivered a presentation on benefits of tidal generation and electrolysis in supporting island and remote coastal communities to achieve net zero at optimum cost.

Nick manages a wide variety of projects across the Energy Systems Catapult’s activities, focusing recently on whole energy system modelling, nationally and locally, optimising integration of renewables and hydrogen into future energy systems, and developing innovation tools for the wave and tidal energy sector.

Nick has extensive experience as a project and programme manager and engineer, both in the power sector onshore and in marine applications. He has led and supported projects collaborating internationally, to deliver technology developments and demonstrations, power plant and electrical systems deployments, and has established and led complex programmes of work across energy and transport sectors.
