Glasgow’s position as a global leader in renewable energy and low-carbon innovation has been reinforced as All-Energy, the UK’s largest clean energy exhibition and conference, extends its partnership with SEC Glasgow for another three years. Owned and organised by RX, the flagship event will continue to bring together key players from across the renewables sector in the city until at least 2027.
This year marks a decade since All-Energy made Glasgow its home at the SEC, coinciding with the venue’s 40th anniversary. The 2025 edition, taking place on 14-15 May, will also align with Glasgow Climate Week, further solidifying the city’s reputation as a hub for sustainability and innovation.
Since relocating to Glasgow in 2015, All-Energy has continued to provide a vital platform for knowledge exchange, business development, and policy discussion in the clean energy sector. In 2024 the event broke all previous records and attracted total attendance of almost 12,000 from around the world, supporting local businesses, hospitality, and the wider economy while highlighting Scotland’s pioneering role in renewables.
Councillor Susan Aitken, Leader of Glasgow City Council, said: “All-Energy has become a cherished event in Glasgow’s calendar, delivering significant economic and reputational benefits to the city. Its alignment with our net-zero ambitions and Glasgow Climate Week underscores our shared commitment to a sustainable future. We are proud to continue hosting this world-class event, which showcases Glasgow’s leadership in renewable energy and low-carbon innovation.”
In a strategic move, the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce adjusted the timing of Glasgow Climate Week in 2024 to coincide with All-Energy, a decision that will be repeated in 2025. This collaboration amplifies the city’s commitment to sustainability and climate action, creating a powerful synergy between the two events.
Dr Stuart Patrick, Chief Executive of Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, commented: “Glasgow has long been a supporter of All-Energy, recognising its immense value to the city’s economy and its role in advancing the global clean energy agenda. The event fosters long-term collaborations and relationships that drive innovation and growth, creating lasting opportunities for the city.”
Gareth Rapley, RX’s Portfolio Director for Energy and Marine added: “Our ongoing partnership with SEC Glasgow has been instrumental in ensuring our ability to continue to deliver a world-class event that drives the clean energy agenda forward. The venue’s facilities and support have been invaluable in maintaining a platform that connects industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators.”
Dan Thurlow, Head of Exhibitions at SEC, concluded: “It’s fantastic to see All-Energy continue its journey in Glasgow, especially in this milestone year for SEC. Over the past decade, the event has become a cornerstone of the renewables calendar, and we’re incredibly proud to host it for another three years. Our thanks go to Gareth and the wider RX Events team for their commitment and collaboration in making Glasgow a key hub for industry innovation and networking.”
With its extensive exhibition, networking opportunities, and a packed conference programme, All-Energy plays a crucial role in shaping the future of clean energy. The event continues to attract high-profile industry leaders, government representatives, and businesses from across the supply chain, reinforcing Glasgow’s commitment to driving the transition to net zero.
