It is anticipated that the signing of the first tidal energy agreement on September 22, 2022, will hasten energy transition measures in Indonesia. The availability of renewable energy in eastern Indonesia is taken into account in all decisions. PT PLN director Bapak Darmawan Prasodjo told ANTARA news that they are beginning to map out what the potential and demands are.

PT. Meindo Vice President Richard Chan added that in order to help PLN and the Indonesian government reach their goal of using 31% renewable energy by the year 2050, PT. Meindo will collaborate with Sabella.
